A Look Back at Eating Fabulous in 2006

by ruth on January 11th, 2007

Doctor's Book of Food RemediesJanuary a perfect time to look back at 2006, so for this month’s b5media Science and Health Theme Day hosted at Breastfeeding 123, all the blogs in the channel are going on a flashback.

This blog is just half a year old, with my first post up in July 2006, after which I immediately tried to assuage chocoholics’ guilt.

In August, Eating Fabulous was formally launched, and I think this is the month I featured healthy drinks the most often: fruit juices, coffee, herbal teas, and tea in general.

In September, wines took center stage: cabernet sauvignon, red wines, spiced wines.

In October, we saw a number of campaigns, from Pink M&M’s for Breast Cancer to Londoners being urged to drink at least 4 cups of tea a day, as well as issues on fish consumption, prompting us to ask which fish is safe to eat, then?

In November, berries were in season, and we discussed the medicinal value of blueberries, and acai berries.

and in December, we got ourselves confused on whether folic acid helps reduce risks of cardiovascular disease or not. December being the month of feasts, Eating Fabulous also got to host the channel’s December theme day focusing on food.

Here’s hoping that in 2007, you’ll continue to accompany me as we discover more of the medicinal benefits of the foods we eat!
