Broccoli Sprouts Extract Against Bladder Cancer
In animal trials, researchers found that a concentrated extract of freeze dried broccoli sprouts reduced the growth of bladder tumors by more than 50%.
There is strong evidence that the protective action of cruciferous vegetables derives at least in part from isothyiocyanates (ITCs), a group of phytochemicals with well-known cancer preventive activities.”The bladder is particularly responsive to this group of natural chemicals,” Zhang said. “In our experiments, the broccoli sprout ITCs after oral administration were selectively delivered to the bladder tissues through urinary excretion.”
Aside from broccoli sprouts, other veggies that are high in ITCs are mature broccoli, cabbage, kale, collard greens.

I love that broccoli is so good for you. How simple! I saw this article about the broccoli research. Can you get a better benefit from broccoli sprouts? Can you buy broccoli extract? I wonder if you have to eat tons of broccoli to get a good effect??
