Give the Gift of Health on Christmas
Now that Thanksgiving is over, the next biggie holiday (for Christians, at least) is just a few weeks away. What would Christmas be without gifts, eh? So start early and what you’d get for Aunt Sally, Uncle Robert, and all your nieces and nephews.
How about giving the gift of health? Too ambitious? Here are some healthy gift ideas from the University of Michigan Health System (hey, if you don’t celebrate Christmas, they’re great for other occassions, too, or even if there is none!):
- Oil and vinegar
- Personal sessions with a nutritionist.
- A healthy cooking class.
- A healthy-eating book, such as Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy: The Harvard Medical School Guide to Healthy Eating
- A crock pot, rice cooker or steamer.
For more healthy, but non-eating related ideas, see Dr. Caroline Richardson’s complete list of healthy holiday gifts.
